LEVY YEAR INFORMATION Dear Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD 429 Community Members,
Please see the information attached below on the 2011 Levy Extension for approval at the Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD 429 Board of Education meeting on December 14, 2011. I would like to draw your attention to several key points: 1) The Levy is being extended with overall revenues increasing by approximately 1.5% based on the Consumer Price Index. Please note that the equalized assessed valuation of all properties within the Hinckley-Big Rock CUSD 429 has been devalued by 12%. Therefore, individual tax bills for District operations will be increased by approximately 1.5%. This information is evidenced on the attachment entitled "Second Reading of 2011 Levy Extenstion". 2) Please also see the attached 2011 Levy Calculation page which notes tax rates, the pro-rated extention based on the prior year's extension with the additions of the 1.5% Consumer Price Index and the manual override extension which accounts for potential new property dollars. 3) Please also see the Certificate of Tax Levy that will be filed with the County Clerk. 4) Lastly, please see the attached Equalized Assessed Valuation for the Hinckley-Big Rock School District for levy years 2007 through 2017 and an extension analysis and Conumer Price Index assumptions including total capped tax rates for Levy years 2010 through 2016. Sincerely, Dr. James Hammack Superintendent
